Built for plumbing, HVAC, electrical, tree service, landscaping & handyman businesses — solo operators and crews of 1 to 5.

From “they texted” to “you got paid”

The whole job, start to finish, on one app. This is what a week on Foreman actually looks like.

1

The lead lands

Somebody texts your business number, an Angi email forwards in, or your website form fires. A lead card appears with the customer record already made.

2

You send the quote

Build it from your saved services in seconds (the AI drafts it for you) and send it over. They open it on their phone.

3

They approve and book

One tap to approve — then they pick their own slot from your real open time. It’s on your Schedule before you put your phone down.

The part that saves the most time

4

You do the work

Today tells you what needs you first. The job screen has the gate code, access notes, directions, photos, checklist and clock-in.

5

You get paid

Invoice with a card link, or record cash in a tap. Foreman chases the late ones for you.

The bit nobody else does well

Your customer books their own appointment

Send the quote. They open it on their phone, tap approve, and then pick their own slot out of your real open time — your working hours, your actual availability, nothing double-booked. It’s on your Schedule before you’ve put your phone down.

No “what’s good for you?”. No three voicemails. No callback you meant to make on Thursday and didn’t. If you know how many hours a week you burn on scheduling calls, this is the number that changes.

Everything you need to run the job — in one app

No stack of add-ons, no per-seat surprises. Just the tools that win you the work and get you paid.

Every lead in one place

You get a business text number and a business email address. Texts, forwarded Angi and Thumbtack leads, and your website’s contact form all land in the same inbox as a lead you can act on with one tap.

Customers book their own slot

They approve the quote on their phone, then pick a time out of your real open hours. It’s on your schedule before you’ve put your phone down — no callbacks, no phone tag.

An AI assistant for your inbox

Foreman’s AI answers customer texts around the clock, handles the questions you get asked ten times a week, and walks them to your booking page. Jobber charges $99/mo for its AI receptionist — here it’s included, with no conversation limit. It switches on with your text number.

Know what the job cost you

Your crew logs what a part cost and snaps the receipt on site. Most job software only tracks what you billed; Foreman captures what you spent too — no shoebox in the truck at tax time.

The money goes to your bank

Invoice with a card link, or record cash and checks in a tap. Payments run through Stripe straight into your own account — Foreman never holds your money.

Everything included, no add-on tax

Two-way texting, the AI assistant, online payments, and your own booking page are all built in. On Jobber, two-way texting means the $139 tier and the AI receptionist is another $99 on top.

We win when you get paid

A low monthly base plus a tiny percentage on payments we help you collect. Our incentive is your cash flow, not your headcount.

The whole money loop, automated

Quote → approve → invoice → pay, with automatic reminders for the overdue ones. Set it once; it runs itself.

More 5-star reviews, on autopilot

The moment a customer pays, their receipt asks for the review — at peak goodwill, while you are still on their driveway. So the work you already did keeps winning you the next one. Text review requests are coming.

Your screens: Today · Schedule · Money · Messages · Customers · Jobs. Your price book and working hours are a set-up-once job.

Is Foreman right for you?

We’d rather you pick the right tool than sign up and churn in month two. Here’s the honest split.

Built for you if…

  • You’re a solo operator or a crew of 1 to 5 — plumbing, HVAC, electrical, tree service, landscaping, handyman, appliance repair
  • You’re in the truck yourself, and there’s no office manager catching the phone
  • Your day runs off a phone, not a desk
  • You’re on paper, texts and a notes app — or fed up with what Jobber or Housecall Pro is charging you

Probably not us — yet — if…

  • You run 15+ techs across multiple locations and need a full dispatch map with drive times
  • Your day runs from a desktop with a keyboard — Foreman is designed for a phone first
  • Recurring maintenance contracts and route work are the core of your business, today
  • Your crew is in basements and dead zones for hours and needs to work with no signal

If that’s you, we’ll say so on the call. See where Jobber is the better choice →

Questions, answered

Do I have to be techy?

If you can text, you can run Foreman. There’s no office computer to set up, the AI does the typing, and most owners send their first invoice the same day they sign up.

What’s the percentage on payments?

A small percentage on the card payments we help you collect, on top of a low monthly base. It keeps your monthly bill low and means we only make money when you get paid — card processing isn’t free anywhere, but here it funds the AI that booked the job.

Where does my money go?

Straight into your own bank account. Payments run through Stripe — the same processor much of the internet uses — and Foreman never holds your money, so there’s no Foreman balance your cash sits in waiting for a payout. Cash you record yourself is always 0% — the percentage only applies to card payments we process for you.

Can my crew have their own logins?

Yes. Each technician gets their own login and sees their day, the job, the address, the access notes and the checklist. They can clock on and off, add photos, log what a part cost and snap the receipt. They cannot see your prices or your margins — not on the job, not anywhere.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Foreman runs in your phone’s browser and installs onto your home screen like a normal app — no app store, no updates to manage. It works on a tablet or a computer too, but it’s designed and tested for a phone first.

Can I switch from Jobber or Housecall Pro?

Yes. Send us your customer export and we import it for you free before you pay a cent — most shops are live in an afternoon. Your data is always yours to export.

Is my customers’ information safe?

Your account is yours alone — no other business on Foreman can see your customers, jobs or numbers. Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by us, phone numbers are never sold or shared, and anyone who texts you can reply STOP to opt out, which Foreman honours automatically.

Does the AI message my customers without me?

You decide when it speaks: off, after hours only, or always — that switch is the control. When it is on it replies to texts by itself, so the customer is never left waiting, and the first message in a thread always says it is an auto-reply. Email drafts are different: those wait for you to approve them before they go. It only ever texts and emails — it never phones anyone — and you can read every thread and take over mid-conversation whenever you want.

Who do I call when something breaks?

Us, directly — not a ticket queue. Email hello@foremandesk.com and you get the team, and we aim to come back to you the same business day. There’s a weekly check-in while you’re getting set up.

How soon can I text my customers?

Everything else works the minute you sign up — quotes, invoices, card payments, scheduling and your booking page. Texting needs its own step: US carriers verify every business number before it can send, which usually takes a few days to a couple of weeks and is out of our hands. We file it for you and tell you the moment it clears. Until then you can still text customers from your own phone, and your booking page is already taking work.

Is there a contract?

No contract. You start on a 14-day free trial and add a card up front, so nothing changes on day 14 if you stay. Cancel before it ends and you are not charged — and your data comes with you either way.
